Mel Cantwell

Since joining Pacific Dragons in 1995/96 Mel Cantwell has played a lead role in the club both as a paddler and administrator. Through serving as secretary for many seasons, Mel was integral in creating our initial constitution and developing the club structure. She has for some time, and continues to, represent and maintain the club's interests with the NSW dragon boat community. Mel has always given generously of her time, effort and knowledge, particularly with the day to day tasks without which the club would simply not operate, and has often put the club's interests before her own. The PDs continue to benefit greatly from her efforts with her passion for dragon boating now taking the sport to new heights in both NSW and Australia. We applaud her return to competitive paddling and she was an integral part of the PDs recent dragon boat successes.

Anne Weber

Anne Weber has been a member of Pacific Dragons for over 10 years and during this time has served several times on the committee in various roles. Anne has always been willing to help out when it comes to Corporate events like CNY or Corp Games or even training Corp crews. Even when not paddling and still a member, she has always been willing to assist PD's in sweeping duties or whatever has been required, both in outrigging and dragon boating. It's people like Anne who are very loyal to the club and help out when/where they can and have always had the good of the club at heart. Club loyalty is a very precious commodity and even more so when you put the good of the club before your own interests. Anne has always been willing to help out when required and considered an asset to the club.
